| Welcome!
In many Central and
Eastern European Countries human rights live a double life: although
they are well protected by rules of national and international law
including the European Convention on Human Rights, they are often
disregarded in practice.
There are various
reasons for this which need to be addressed urgently. Certainly one
of them is simply a lack of knowledge among citizens, lawyers and
human rights organisations about the - in most cases relatively new
- legal substance of human rights and in particular the enforcement
procedures.
In order to contribute
to the dissemination of such knowledge, MOST offers seminars
and courses on the European Convention on Human Rights with an
emphasis on the practicalities of the system.
This homepage will be the documentation of some of our activities in the last years. MOST will still continue to work in this field, but will not up date this homepage. However, we will be happy to answer your e-mails.
